Wardak University is an academic and higher education institution at the national level, dedicated to promoting Islamic values, cultural awareness, economic development, and other fields of knowledge through higher education and the training of qualified academic professionals. Nearly a decade has passed since its establishment. During its first decade of establishment, this academic institution, in accordance with the principles and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education, has operated through five faculties and graduated hundreds of students equipped with Afghan and Islamic values, preparing them to serve society. Academic institutions bear the responsibility of providing opportunities for education and development within society and are regarded as fundamental sources of intellectual and academic advancement for human communities. Therefore, Wardak University considers access to higher education an Islamic obligation, a domestic necessity, and the only rational and fundamental path toward achieving a competitive position at regional and international levels. Based on these Islamic and national needs, Wardak University was established in 1393 SH (2014–2015) in response to a public demand. Through the collective determination and support of the local community, and with the contributions of national entrepreneurs, tribal elders, cultural figures, and university professors, its initial infrastructure was established, and academic activities commenced. Although the university has achieved considerable accomplishments over the past ten years, it continues to strive for development in both infrastructure and academic facilities in accordance with international Islamic, academic, and educational standards. It also seeks to contribute to building a progressive higher education system at the national level by expanding the training of academic professionals in both quantitative and qualitative terms and strengthening their academic and professional competencies. To ensure continuous modernization and standardization across all its operational areas, Wardak University plans to provide opportunities for faculty members' self-assessment and further academic advancement. Furthermore, taking into account the country's tangible needs and drawing upon scientific achievements, the university aims to equip its faculties and departments with modern academic standards in order to respond effectively to societal needs. Wardak University considers it its mission to establish a peaceful, comfortable, and academically sound environment for learning, research, and teaching, enabling students to pursue their studies at the university with full confidence and peace of mind. The moral foundations of a truly Islamic society originate from the thoughts and values of knowledgeable and educated individuals. Therefore, combating all forms of corruption is our individual and collective responsibility, a religious duty that will never be overlooked.Wardak University strives to educate and equip its students with commendable moral values and characteristics, enabling society to benefit from their presence and contributions. The university aspires for its graduates to be regarded by the people not as a burden on their shoulders, but rather as guiding lights and sources of support for the advancement of society.
