Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Amin, son of Mohammad Amin, was born in 1990 in Taqdoz Village, Khwaja Omari District, Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, into an educated and religious family.
Dr. Amin completed Grade 12 with distinction in 2008 at Sultan Masoud High School. He subsequently gained admission to the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Kabul University, through the national university entrance examination (Kankor), and successfully completed his bachelor's degree with distinction in 2013.
Driven by a strong interest in academia and teaching, Dr. Amin joined Wardak University as a faculty member in 2015 after successfully passing the academic staff recruitment examination. Since then, he has continued to contribute to the university through his academic, teaching, and administrative responsibilities.
In 2018, he successfully completed his master's degree in Postharvest Technology at the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, India. Following the completion of his master's degree, he returned to Afghanistan and resumed his professional duties at Wardak University. Subsequently, based on the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education, he was officially appointed as Deputy for Academic and Student Affairs at Wardak University. He also served as Acting Chancellor of Wardak University for a period.
In pursuit of advanced academic qualifications, Dr. Amin began his doctoral studies at Anhui Agricultural University, China, in late 2019. He successfully completed his PhD in 2024 with distinction.
Following the completion of his doctoral studies, Dr. Amin returned to Afghanistan with a strong commitment to serving his country and people. He resumed his academic and administrative activities at Wardak University and has continued to contribute to the development of higher education and agricultural sciences. He currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Wardak University.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Amin has received numerous certificates of appreciation, commendations, and awards from various governmental and non-governmental institutions in recognition of his contributions and achievements. Several of his academic and research works have also been published in reputable national and international scientific journals.
In addition to his proficiency in Afghanistan's national languages, Dr. Amin is fluent in English and is actively engaged in academic, teaching, research, and administrative activities in the field of agricultural sciences.
